Homebrew Wii
A scratched disc is the suck. Losing a game is the suck. Dare I even bring up breaking a disc? It happens to the best of us, unfortunately. Or rather, the worst of us, as the case may be. That’s why you need to back your stuff up. But sadly, as we all know, it is notoriously difficult to play a backed up disc without doing hardware modification and voiding out your warantee. That is why I will shamelessly promote this bit of software that I find to be quite useful: HomebreWare.
HomebreWare is a nifty bit of software for the Nintendo Wii that allows you to play backup discs, as well as act as an emulator for N64, NES, SNES, and even SEGA GENESIS games. Since this is software, it will not void your warantee by making you open the case up and go at the motherboard like a deranged dentist with a drill. In the long run, this can save you oodles of dollars. If I had this software for my 360, I would not be fretting quite as much about losing my copy of Advanced Warfighter.
